Hydeon

Born in National City, California in 1985, Ian “Hydeon” Ferguson is a Chicago-based visual artist working in India ink and numerous other mediums. He received his BS in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of California in 2006. His work encapsulates the essence of contemporary Americana folk art, blending realms of street art, fine art, and graphic design. His art has been featured in Hi Fructose Magazine, Juxtapoz Magazine, Tape Op Magazine, Redefine Magazine, Time Out Chicago, Art Before Fame, and numerous other local papers and blogs. He has a clothing line in the works and is releasing his first self-published book called Early Morning Contemplation Over Coffee coming summer 2014. His solo exhibition opens at the Maxwell Colette Gallery in Chicago on June 20, 2014.
