I had been wandering around the music stage area at Baltimore’s annual Sowebo Festival, searching for interesting people to photograph. All of the sudden, in a dark corner off to the side of the stage, I spotted the pair: one dressed in blue, the other in red. I meandered over. I stood in front of them, watching as they danced to the music. They laughed together, feeding off eachother’s energy. I wasn’t sure if they were husband and wife. I wasn’t sure if they were neighbors. I wasn’t sure if they even knew each other. I looked into the grained glass of my twin lens reflex and snapped one photo.
